Being Advocates for Rescued K-9's means...
...we believe that saving one life at a time makes a difference.
...we improve the quality of life for the rescued dogs by providing safe, loving, and knowledgeable foster homes.
...we believe that supportive and proactive relationships with shelters, rescue groups, veterinarians, and adoptive families are a priority for all dogs.
...we take pride in taking the time to work with each dog's unique personalities and behaviors to ensure that their next home is the "forever home".
Please contact us if you have interest in volunteering with B.A.R.K., becoming a foster family, or adopting a new friend!
We rescue, care for, and re-home dogs in need. The majority of our dogs come from overcrowded shelters where they are in danger of being euthanized. We are an all-breed rescue and will accept dogs of any breed into foster care as long as we have a willing and open home available!
After locating and rescuing a dog, they receive quality veterinary care such as vaccinations, de-worming, a spay/neuter, and parasite control, as well as treatment for any other medical issues that are found. Every animal is altered prior to final adoption.
Adoption fees do not cover the care and maintenance that goes into each animal, but they certainly help offset some of the cost. We rely on donations from the public to help us continue to rescue. These donations can be monetary, food, leashes, toys, Frontline, and much more. New or used, we accept it all and put it to good use!
We are a 501(c)3 which means all donations are tax deductible and you will be issued a receipt upon request.
B.A.R.K.'s Prison Dog Program
B.A.R.K. has partnered with the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Lino Lakes to develop a fantastic program! Some of the B.A.R.K. foster dogs are now living and being "fostered" at the prison with the inmates. Since 2013, our prison pups have been playing, training, and getting ready for adoption every day with their handlers. This program has made it possible for us to save even more dogs and they are getting the best care possible!

Good golly, Miss Molly! This may be the one photo we were able to take while she was standing still! Molly is a busy body, always with her nose to the ground! She is an active and intelligent dog...definitely not for the faint of heart! She's all business -even during playtime! She knows her basic obedience, LOVES going for walks/jogs, and is extremely food motivated. Her best trick is "roll over" and sometimes she'll roll 3-4 times in a row! She doesn't care for small dogs, or dominant dogs, or grouchy older dogs and will gladly fight with them if they won't play like she does. She gets along really well with submissive dogs who are about her size and who love to play big! Molly is not safe with cats or other "prey" animals. She likes to tackle things, too. So toddlers beware! You don't have to worry about Molly going potty in the house. She is reliably housebroken and loves her crate, too! She's quiet at night and doesn't like her beauty sleep interrupted until about 8am. Do you think your family needs a little bit of this lively Rottie? Then let us know!
Molly is up to date on all of her vaccinations. She has been spayed, de-wormed and is currently on monthly Frontline and Heartguard, as well. If you're interested in learning more about Molly, or another one of our other wonderful dogs: Visit our Dog Application page and we will contact you soon!
